Ongoing Tagging Support and GTM Consultancy for English Heritage

Delivering long-term tagging and data support for a national heritage brand

Since 2021, we’ve been the trusted analytics and tagging partner for English Heritage, supporting their in-house teams with everything from initial GTM audits to full implementation of Google Consent Mode. What began as a clean-up of their Google Tag Manager evolved into an ongoing relationship, ensuring every channel, from Meta to Bing, is tracked cleanly and compliantly. As data needs arise, we step in to problem-solve, advise, and implement with clarity and precision.

The challenge

Over the past four years, English Heritage has relied on us to maintain a robust and trustworthy analytics setup across a complex, multi-platform environment. With multiple stakeholders and evolving consent requirements across different agencies, they needed a long-term partner who could ensure that every piece of tracking was implemented correctly, data was interpreted accurately, and any issues were resolved quickly and clearly.

Our approach

We act as an extension of English Heritage’s data team, offering continuous support, consultancy and implementation across all their analytics and tagging needs. Starting with a complete GTM audit and refresh in 2021, we’ve since provided ongoing expertise across platforms including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, Floodlight, AWIN and Bing. We’ve implemented a custom consent model using Google Consent Mode, advised on data layer requirements, and remain on hand to troubleshoot issues, explain data discrepancies, and ensure tracking remains reliable and compliant.

The impact

English Heritage now has a central, trusted partner for all things tagging. With us managing their tracking ecosystem, they benefit from a consistent, scalable setup and a single point of contact for everything from new campaign tagging to consent compliance, saving time, reducing confusion, and improving confidence in their data across the board.
