This week we’ve had even more reason to ‘slavit’ (which means celebrate in Czech for those of you who don’t know). Following our awards from Great Places to Work and Campaign’s Best Places to Work, we now have another accolade to add to our collection.
Up against stiff competition from the likes of Verve Search, Digitaloft and Receptional, our ‘Return to Gold Hill’ campaign for Evans Cycles scooped the award for the Best Use of Search in a Retail Campaign at this year’s prestigious European Search Awards, held in Prague, which celebrates the best of the best in SEO, PPC and digital marketing across the continent.
The campaign was up for three categories at the awards: Best Use of Search – Retail, Best Use of PR in a Search Campaign and Best Use of Content Marketing.
‘Return to Gold Hill’ promotes Evans Cycles’ range of e-bikes and saw the original ‘Hovis boy’ from Ridley Scott’s 1973 TV spot return to Gold Hill in Shaftesbury to conquer the steep hill with the pedal assistance of an e-bike.
The campaign achieved PR coverage in over 50 publications and generated overwhelmingly positive feedback from the cycling community across social media and in cycling-specific publications. The video recreation has been viewed online over 400,000 times across Evans Cycles’ channels and importantly, the campaign resulted in a 795% ROI for Evans Cycles.
