Spain & LATAM, market by market
Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin America share a language, but they don’t share a media playbook. Here’s how we approach the different markets differently for optimal success.
Our expertise here
We deliver results for this region through trusted freelance partners we’ve worked with consistently for years, bringing native-level knowledge and expertise across both Spain and LATAM’s Spanish-speaking markets.
What makes this market different
Both Spain and LATAM are defined by deep regionalism, though it shows up differently in each: within Spain itself, and across LATAM, which is too often treated as one homogenous region rather than a collection of individual countries, each with their own politics, history and character.
Spain
In Spain specifically, media consumption is heavily decentralised, with national outlets competing against powerful regional titles. This means localised coverage isn’t optional, it’s vital. What’s more, linguistic diversity across Spain’s regions means pitches need to reflect regional culture, not just the Spanish language broadly. And because Spanish publishers lean on advertising and programmatic revenue models, they favour visually compelling, emotionally resonant, traffic-driving content over dense analytical reporting. Data-led stories, interactive infographics and consumer-lifestyle angles consistently perform best.
LATAM
Across LATAM, social media (and increasingly LinkedIn) has overtaken traditional email pitching as the way to build relationships with journalists and creators, who expect authentic, personal interaction alongside tailored, localised data rather than a generic press release. LATAM outlets also tend to be broader and more generalist than regional or niche-sector titles, and the journalist pool is small relative to the region’s geographical size, meaning relationships matter even more.
The results
In Spain, we’ve landed national coverage in La Razón, El País, El Mundo and 65 Y Más, plus regional titles including La Vanguardia, El Correo and La Voz.
Across LATAM, we secure regular coverage in Clarín and La Nación (Argentina), El Universal (Mexico), El Tiempo (Colombia), El Comercio (Peru) and El Mercurio (Chile).
