First of all let us wish you a Happy New Decade! It's a cliche but January is often the time to set goals and lay down plans for the year ahead. For Propellernet it starts with the continuing growth and excitment around online marketing. As a result we are looking for a New Business Director and a Client Services Director to join our vibrant team of link-loving adrenaline junkies – if you know someone please spread the word.
Next on the plan, we're moving offices. To accommodate the new recruits and fully flex our creative muscles and digital brains in style, we are relocating to a lovely new working environment in central Brighton. A design team has been busy sprucing up the space and we've even got a customised graffiti wall created by Brighton collective Rarekind. We will reveal all with pics on our blog very soon.
So all that leaves us to say is that we hope you've got your New Year and New Decade off to a great start and enjoy this month's little nuggets of knowledge, prepared by the Propellernet team!

Good Idea + Social Media = Big Impact
Power to the people! It all happened in 2009 when Rage Against the Machine "social media'd" their way to the Christmas Number One spot and Iranian citizens used twitter to spread the truth on their country's elections, when all other communication had been cut off from the rest of the world. Aaron Kempen reflects on all this but reminds us of the importance of a good idea to cause a social media storm.

I am keeping a very close eye on display advertising at the moment, and how it will grow in 2010 and become more integrated into search strategies.

Listen to your customers. They are the ones that build your brand and their opinions are the most important ones to take on board.
Tell us an interesting fact?
By the end of this year I will no longer be a happy go lucky single man!! I am getting married on the 7th August to my beautiful fiancée Laura.

Moving to pastures new
Tomorrow is an exciting day for everyone here at Propellernet as we relocate to brand new open-plan offices in the centre of Brighton. We've enjoyed our time in Hove, but as we continue to grow its time for a new and exciting change – there's a huge buzz of anticipation in the office!
Propellernet to do battle on the Basketball Court
Continuing our mantra of wellbeing, The Propellernet team are getting ready to compete in the next Battle of the Businesses sporting event: Basketball. The tournament takes place next week (on Tuesday 26th Jan), so please wish us luck!
