Role: Online Marketing Intern
How did you get into online marketing?
Well I started my life in media as a student, as well as being a musician in a band. Over the last 5 years I have become more interested with new ways of spreading the word about the band. With my degree in Interactive Media, web 2.0 and user generated content was starting to change the face of the Internet. So since then I have been keeping my ears to the ground finding new ways of marketing online for free. I love being involved with potential fans and talking on a one to one basis, establishing relationships.
Tell us about your favourite website/blog?
I have recently fallen in love with a website called Netvibes. It's a great application based site where you can compile your favourite social media sites, blogs and RSS feeds all in one place, it's a really useful tool, and a great time saver! Another site I like is called Twellow, which is a really useful site for searching for Twitter followers.
