YouTube showed its awesome force again this month when musician Dave Caroll used it to vent his frustrations over the manhandling of his guitar by United Airlines employees. In his jokey music video, he caused their share price to drop and their reputation to flop…more in our social mayhem section.
We've been inspired ourselves to get in front of the camera, with our very own 'Meet the Team' video which is currently in full production and has even seen Superman visit the Propellernet rooftops. Maybe he was attracted by the many creative ideas bouncing off the walls following a series of brainstorms led by our brand spanking new Creative Director Lucy Freeborn – all ready to be injected in our clients' customer journeys of course.
All this while more glorious sunshine has seen us attending a lovely day at the races, filling our lunches with frisbee sessions, playing beach volley and pitch and putt. And since the search partnership between Microsoft and Yahoo, the question on all of our lips is this: is Bing the new 'thing'? What a month!

Advocacy – Brand Nirvana
We've told you before and we're telling you again – advocacy is majorly important in the customer journey because it gets your happy customers spreading the love to others, at no cost to you. Don't you just love word of mouth marketing?! Harnessing brand advocates is our recession busting tip of the month. Here, Gavin explains how we've helped some of our clients reach that 'Brand Nirvana'.

What current industry hot topic are you following?
I'm very intrigued by Rupert Murdoch's plan to start charging readers for all his newspapers' online content and interested to see how it will affect the industry. I think most people are now so accustomed to reading the news for free every day that they will simply go elsewhere rather than start paying for it.
What is the biggest tip you could give to a brand?
If you're selling something on your site, make it as obvious as possible how to buy online or make an enquiry. I'm still regularly baffled by how difficult it is to convert on some big brands' websites.
My favourite film?
Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Pure sci-fi perfection!
