Do you Yahoo!? Propellernet's paid search Clients do..

It’s finally here, Yahoo!’s new paid search platform has launched and here at Propellernet we are embracing it with open arms.  We have been hard at work testing the system, putting it through its paces and most importantly improving paid search returns for our clients.  So what does this all mean to your online business?  Below we have summarised the main features and the benefits it can bring to your paid search campaigns..

  • More long tailed keywords – previously search terms were limited on Yahoo!. You could only choose terms from their list of recently searched keywords which pushed everyone down the line of generic terms.  The new Yahoo! allows you to select your own keyword terms, including longer strings, which by their nature convert at a much higher rate.  Essentially more keywords, more volume, more leads – no one can argue with that!
  • Multiple Ads – Perhaps the best new feature, you can now upload multiple ads for the same keyword phrase.  This way you can test which of your messages is attracting the most click throughs and improve the performance of your paid search efforts.
  • Ad ranking system – It’s no longer all about the money, the amount you are willing to pay per click is only half the story.  Yahoo!’s new platform also takes into consideration ad performance and click through rates. These  affect the position in which your ad appears.  So is this good?  Yes, the new system rewards best practice and campaign organisation, as opposed to financial muscle.  At Propellernet we pride ourselves on running well structured campaigns that drive high click through rates.  In the long run you will benefit from cheaper traffic and a higher return on investment.

To find out more about the changes, and the opportunity for improved return on investment, call your account manager, who’ll be delighted to talk you through it.
