The Front Row Society - last Friday's Fabulous Fashion Fest

This time last week we were busy preparing for what proved to be an amazing event - our Front Row Society event for fashion bloggers, which took place last Friday.

We established our Front Row Society three years ago to learn from - and share with - fashion bloggers. We've learned so much from them over the years and, we'd like to think, helped them too. Lots of agencies run events for brands and retailers (we do too) but it's imperative to talk honestly and openly with influencers.

This is the first time we've run a Front Row Society event in Brighton (as opposed to London) so we were grateful to be blessed with a gloriously sunny day for our afternoon at Hotel du Vin and the treasure hunt that followed.

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome 14 bloggers to the event: Glam & GlitterOndo LadyPrince CassiusFashitects,Boy Meets FashionStyle of a Tall London GirlMybubbaandmeWhat Laura Did NextDiary of a Clothes HorseMode MadelineGeorgina Does and Framboise Fashion.

As you would expect, everyone looked stunning! But the chat was even better!

The discussions we have at Front Row Society always take place in strictest confidence but we can tell you that hot topics on the day included:

  • The rise and rise of 'super bloggers' - to have an agent or not
  • Going international (some of the attendees get more approaches from international brands than UK-based ones!)
  • How bloggers like to work (and how they don't like to work)
  • What the fashion blogging landscape will look like in five years time

While we can't share exactly what was said we will be combining some of the insights from the event and also from our recent survey of 100+ fashion influencers in the form of an ebook that will be available at the end of July.

If you'd like a copy of that drop Stefan Hull, who wrote it, a line at

Similarly, if you're a fashion blogger and want some information about future events, please do get in touch.

In the meantime, and before we forget, we'd like to extend a big thank you for those local businesses that helped out with our treasure hunt:

Thank you so much - we know the bloggers had a ball hunting you down!
