Brighton's first Travel Massive proves a hit!

Last week’s European Search Awards confirmed once again that Brighton companies are major players in search.

This, plus our close proximity to London, also makes the city a perfect place for travel companies, bloggers and journalists to come together to explore the countless opportunities available online.

Having previously attended the Travel Massive networking events in various locations, including London and Sydney, the Propellernet travel team was excited to head along to last week’s first ever Brighton Travel Massive, planned and organised by local travel provider Natural World Safaris, CWT Digital, Bullet PR and journalist Lucy Grewcock.

With insightful talks from local travel professionals, including Greg Brand from travel video production company Travizeo, Simon Murie, owner of swimming holidays-focused Swim Trek, Paul Holdgate from website design and digital strategy agency CWT Digital and Julie Conway, freelance travel journalist, there was plenty to hear about early in the evening.

Each speaker had their work cut out for them using the PechaKucha format, allowing 20 slides at only 20 seconds per slide – and everyone did a fantastic job.

We then enjoyed mingling and chatting with other local travel folk, sharing stories, insights and more than a few glasses of wine!

It’s great news that travel-focused individuals and companies have this new opportunity to gather together right here in our home town.

We’re already looking forward to the next one, and from the impressive turnout on the night, I’m sure we’re not the only ones!
