Propellernet Shortlisted for three Sussex Business Awards

Further to our Brighton and
Hove Business Awards nomination success, we are delighted to announce that we
have been shortlisted for three awards at the 2009 Sussex Business Awards. The
Awards are one of the south's most prestigious awards schemes and this year
celebrate their twenty-first anniversary.
The ceremony will take place on November 6th 2009 at The Grand Hotel, Brighton and we're in contention for the following awards:
'The Award For The Best Employer In Sussex' sponsored by asb law
Our entry focused on the regular interaction that occurs between the leaders and employees within Propellernet, both in and out of the office, as well as our high staff satisfaction levels. We ensure all-round happiness by structuring team meetings to include opportunities to get together and have fun; quarterly business meetings take place in the morning and are often followed by team entertainment such as visits to theme parks or go-karting. We also conduct anonymous companywide surveys to benchmark how people feel about working here, which means we can act on any potential issues, continually improve and, most importantly, ensure that Propellernet is a great place to work.
'The Award For Innovation In Business' sponsored by the University of Brighton
The entry for this one was centred around two specific parts of what we do at Propellernet; Persona Insight and Revenue Potential Modelling. Persona Insight helps us to maximise revenue by identifying motivational-based customer segements and researching where they spend their time online. We acknowledge that people are more likely to engage with you if you talk to them as individuals, in the right way, at the right time and about the right things. Our unique Revenue Potential Planning Tool allows us to show our clients the total revenue potential of all their online activity and to break it down into bite-sized chunks that make it simple to identify the most lucrative wins to go after first. For one of our clients, we increased sales by 600% using Revenue Potential Modelling and, alongside Persona Insight, it's a part of our service that we're really proud of.
'The Healthiest Workplace Award' sponsored by West Sussex Primary Care Trust
Our second 'healthy award' nomination this year was focused on our innovative 'Wellbeing Team' and staff activities. At Propellernet we truly believe in healthy body, healthy mind and therefore encourage staff to get away from their desks at lunch and take part in activities including Frisbee, swimming, kite-surfing and beach walks. We provide fresh fruit for all staff and everyone's desk is decorated with at least one plant. We also have a 5-a-side football team and staff members regularly take part in charity runs and marathons. Our bravest employees have entered the 'Tough Guy' challenge too! Annelies' recent blog post does a great job of outlining why we believe, we are Sussex's healthiest workplace.
