Head of Technical SEO / SEO Director

The role:

We're searching for a stunning Head of Technical SEO.

The sort of person who will positively stop colleagues, clients and the big wide world in their tracks.

Someone who will relish the opportunity to help us develop and implement our strategic plan.

A technical expert with the chops to prove it and an integrated marketer too, with a track record of successful collaborations behind (and ahead ) of you.

We want you to lead the technical SEO team and play a central role in shaping the future of the agency, while also overseeing key client relationships and projects.

For someone with the right credentials, the position need not be full time – the right person is more important than five-day-a-week availability.

The responsibilities:

You will be an ‘innovation leader’ constantly bringing new ideas, opportunities and ways of working to the team and wider agency.

You will lead on how to use tech and data-insight to deliver consumer-centric search strategies and drive great search ROI.

You will consult with senior clients to set technical strategy and manage large, technically-focused projects with the help of the wider team. You will use your experience to guide clients on all areas of technical platform selection and efficient use of them to maximise results. You're confident interpreting technical and marketing industry changes and directing client and agency strategies to maximise future opportunities.

You will be an agency ambassador, speaking publicly about opportunities in and threats to search marketing. You're equally comfortable digesting the complex and summarising it for senior marketing stakeholders, or going into detail with developers and/or IT Directors.

You will actively work with the Strategy Director, Insight Director, Creative Director, Head of PR, Head of Paid Media and client service leads to ensure holistic client and agency strategies.

You will also be involved in recruiting, leading and managing a high performing technical SEO team, working with them to craft aspirational career paths and to continue to deliver great results on client work now, while shaping the team for a successful Propellernet future.

Fun, perks & other cool stuff:

Propellernet provides an unrivalled working environment in the local area.

We hold an Investors in People Award for Health and Wellbeing – the first ever company to win the award with less than 1,000 employees and were named a top 10 UK workplace in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 by the Great Places To Work Institute.

Our offices in the centre of Brighton are fully kitted out to provide inspiring spaces for collaborative working, as well as quiet rooms for tasks that require more concentrated focus.

We also have a firm focus on excellence and best-practice, both for our team and our clients so you can expect to receive (and deliver) some best-practice knowledge share through the Propellernet Academy. To facilitate personal development, new practices and creativity, every employee is entitled to a Propel Day each month – a full day that they can use to learn about or innovate around a topic that is of interest to them.

Career development is well mapped-out and a Propellernet employee can expect to progress through the business based on individual performance, not tenure.

A good salary (dependent on experience) is available for this role, plus a bonus scheme based on hitting company targets.

We also offer a health cash plan and pension plan.
