Stella Bayles

Online PR Consultant

I've been online since my teens. When I was at school, it was a way of keeping up to date with the music scene I was into at the time and a way of making relationships with other people in the scene. I started by blagging my way into being a photographer for an internet radio station when I was 17 and then when established DJ's (sometimes of the older generation!) were finding their way onto MySpace, I offered my services of 'page layout designer' in exchange for my name on guest lists.

Since then, in my profession of Brand Communications, online has been a huge part of my client's requirements of engaging with their audience. Working with media websites has always been part of any PR strategy I've worked on. It wasn't until '07 and when I started working with mobile network Blyk & needed to engage with their 16-24year old customers that I looked at it all differently. It was then that I came up with The Blyk Music platform which worked with music artists on their own social networks. Since then, Online Brand Engagement has fascinated me and I'm always keen to see who's doing what and more importantly, what's working!
