Hi, I’m Sophie and my first experience of life onboard the rocket was as an intern in 2009. I’d just graduated from Bournemouth University with a degree in Multimedia Journalism and was offered an internship within the online pr team which sounded like an ideal chance to learn new skills and bulk up my CV. I spent six great weeks at Propellernet learning lots about online marketing and making use of my knowledge of the media before leaving to do some temp copywriting work and then a brief stint as a charity marketing officer.
When Jack got in touch this year to invite me back onboard, I couldn’t say no and I’m now looking forward to learning even more about SEO, PPC, PR and everything else online from the team here.
Why Propellernet?
I was really impressed with the clients the team work with- with such big brands across a range of sectors it seemed they had to be doing something right! Getting to see some of the specialist tools used at Propellernet, such as RPM and Persona Insight, in action and the amazing results they brought about only confirmed my initial thoughts.
On top of the great work done here, the team is made up of a bunch of friendly, fun-loving people who really know what they’re talking about. It’s probably one of the only places I’ve worked and can say I enjoy getting up to come into the office each day!
Interests:
I love being in the sun, seeing my friends and shoe shopping. I’m also a big sports fan and follow baseball, football (up the Villa!) and formula one. Oh and I like anything a bit gory- I’m a CSI addict, I love scary films and I won’t put down a good crime novel ‘til I’ve finished it.
